If you are passionate about cosplay and want a quality costume but need help, whether a little or a lot, I'm here to help! I've crafted all kinds of costumes, simple and complex, and am happy to build some or even all of your costume. I've done small pieces like Daenerys' 3 headed dragon brooch, specialty cloaks for those to cosplay their own WoW characters, and even a suit of foam armor for an Alice in Wonderland cosplay.
Before I jump completely into my commission breakdown I want to state I only take a certain number of commissions a year. This is to allow myself time to do my own cosplays and balance regular orders. Item or partial commissions, depending on size, I accept year round as long as I am given enough time to make the pieced. In most cases I cannot make a custom piece in 2 weeks. For full or larger commissions expect usually a minimum of 2 months to make the item, a set timeline will be given on a case by case, and are ONLY accepted from January to September.
If you are interested in working with me for a cosplay commission the first step is to message me your plan, wants, and needs. And please include pictures if possible! This is super helpful for me to determine if I can take on the project. I am only human and if I feel I can't do it I will tell you. Please don't be upset to be rejected for this reason, I hold myself to a very high standard and if I feel I cannot produce something perfect I will not waste your time and money. If I decide it is something I can do, we will proceed with a build plan and I will quote you the price. Once a build plan is made and the price is set I require a minimum of 50% down to cover materials if the quote is over $200. Materials and work will not begin, and you timeline, will not begin until this is paid. So if you delay paying for 2 weeks then your completion date moves back 2 weeks etc. Once completed any remaining balance must be paid before the item will ship.
When determining materials for builds I do my best to pick authentic or authentic looking materials, if authentic materials are not available or it is more cost effective. That being said I am limited in how accurate I can be. For example, I am NOT a blacksmith and therefore I can not make you armour out of metal. I do know some metal crafting and can make your chainmaile shirt, or trims to cut down on the weight but still look like you are wear a maile undershirt, but I can't hammer out a breastplate. Armour will be crafted and sculpted in foam. The same idea applies for leather. I do use more faux leathers because they are more readily available, cheaper, and often come pre-colored. Real leather often needs to be dyed, which admittedly I not the best at, is way more expensive, is much tougher on my machines and myself, and unless I can get it from a local tanner I run the risk of supporting cruel hide farmers.
Alright now for a quick 'ball park' on what to expect price wise. These are just ESTIMATES! Actual prices will be based on time requirement, materials, intricacy etc.
Special Customizations on 'pre-existing' items. This is things like special customizing on cloaks, modifications on shoulder dragons etc.
